Ruth Rose Spicer, 92, passed away on May 28, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. A native Floridian, Mrs. Spicer was born on December 7, 1922, in Key West, FL. Mrs. Spicer was predeceased by husbands, Pete Cassell, Norman Whitesides and Terry Spicer, and son, Roy Cassell. She is survived by her children, Jean Bennett (William), Norman Whitesides, and Mary Martinez (Darrel), and sister, Shirley Lane (John); 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth Spicer lived a full and interesting life and is remembered for her beautiful smile, her kindness, sense of humor, and great love for her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 3 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, June 4 in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
