Sara Ann Brooks

Sara Ann Straitiff Brooks, 78, passed away December 19, 2017. She was born July 12, 1939 in Pepperell, MA. Prior to moving to Jacksonville in 1981, Sara lived in Richmond, VA where she was active in church activities, choir, a Sunday school teacher, worked with Girl and Boy Scouts and at one point having 4 Girl Scout Troops. She worked as a Judicial Assistant in the 4thJudicial Circuit from 1981 until 2013 and from 1978 to 1981 in Clerk’s Office in Henrico County, VA.

She is predeceased by her daughter Katherine, mother Doris Blood Straitiff and father William Arthur Straitiff. She is survived by her two sons, Henry (Ronna) and Bill Brooks, grandchildren William Thatch Aldridge (Andi), Stephanie Quinones (Gilbert), Brooke Aldridge, Henry Brooks (Kristie) and Melinda Brooks, great grandsons Andrew Thatch, Gabriel William Quinones, step great grandson, Jonathan Quinones, great-granddaughter Skye Marie and 4 siblings.

A visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Friday, December 22, 2017 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville.
