
BROWN, Sara “Sally” C. Brown, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2008. She was born in Rutledge, GA in 1924 and at the age of five, her family moved to Florida. After graduating from Orlando High School, Sara attended Business College for two years to become an accountant. Sara then was employed by the Federal Government for twenty years in Orlando in which she jokingly stated that she was taking care of the government’s money. While on vacation in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sara met and married her husband James and at that time he was a pilot in the Air Force, and they continued traveling during his tour in the military. Sara enjoyed shopping and most of all reading a good book. She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Brown and a son, Gary Scott Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Jaime A. Brown and her husband, Chuck Butts; one sister, Betty Carson and her husband, Hap; a brother, Robert L. Claudy, Jr. and his wife Annie; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Also, a very loving and dedicated care giver, Anita Goins. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 940 Cesery Blvd on Monday, May 19th at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Larry W. Shields, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice
