Family and friends are welcome to gather at 3:00pm with the memorial service beginning at 4:00pm. Sawyer lived with his family in Wellesley Island, NY until last year when he and his mom moved back to her hometown, Jacksonville, FL. While growing up in upstate New York, Sawyer loved the outdoors and always had a total sense of wonderment in everything he experienced. He especially liked to take walks and explore the beautiful wooded property that surrounded his home. His favorite toys were almost always musical. He loved the movies, “Cars” and “Finding Nemo” and had memorized all of the songs and even most of the dialog. He was quite the world traveler. By the time he was 1 year old he had visited Italy, Germany, and Austria with his mom and aunt. Sawyer faced challenges with Autism the same way he faced everything; with smiles, energy, and a wide eyed wonderment that never ceased to amaze everyone. Sawyer filled our hearts with the sweetest songs of love and joy. He could dance to Pop’s music as if Jesus had tickled his spirit. Sawyer was a constant wanderer and now he has wandered into the arms of God.
