It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sean Patrick William Carnahan, 53, of St. Johns, Florida, who went home to the Lord on Monday, August 5, 2024. Born on December 20, 1970, in Indiana, PA, Sean was the beloved son of Harry and Mary Lou Carnahan. He touched the lives of many through his kind and generous spirit.
Sean’s love for family was evident in the countless memories they created together, especially during their cherished beach time and creating gourmet meals. An avid sports enthusiast, Sean was a passionate supporter of the Pittsburgh Penguins and found immense joy in playing and teaching golf—a sport he loved to share with others.
Sean made a difference in the lives of autistic children in St. Johns. His compassion and commitment to helping those in need were hallmarks of his character.
Sean is survived by his loving parents, Harry and Mary Lou Carnahan; his devoted sisters, Sherry Carpenter and Tracy Anderson; and his uncle, John Carnahan. He also leaves behind numerous cousins who will remember him fondly.
A celebration of Sean’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 16, at the Shorewood Clubhouse in Cape Canaveral, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at ShaneCarpenterFoundation.org.
Sean will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
