Sixta Ruby "Ruby" Martinez

Sixta "Ruby" Martinez was born on November 4, 1937 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Sixto Martinez and Nelia Carrion. She graduated from Fashion High School, New York, New York and also attended Touro College, Bronx, New York, class of 1982. Retired from the department of social services after 15 years of service. Sixta's memories will forever be cherished by her children: Nelia Thomas, Donald Thomas, Nichelle Sanchez, and Nicholas Sanchez III. Her grandchildren: Chastity, Brittany, Monica, Khadijah, Devonte, and Neahmija and great granddaughter: Juanita. She loved and cherished her life and time with Joseph Pooser Jr "Papa Joe" til death did them part. Siblings: Sixto and Inez, a host of loving relatives. Sixta was preceded in death by siblings Juanita, Carmen, Emilio, Antonio and Chester. The visitation to greet family and friends will be held November 15, 2015 from 4-6pm at Hardage Giddens Blanding Chapel. Funeral Services will be November 16, 2015 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a burial to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
