

She was born October 10, 1947 the daughter of George and Anna D’Arcy at St. Elizabeth Hospital in New York City. She attended Monsignor Scanlan High School in the Bronx and graduated from Lehman College with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She was an Executive Secretary for Exxon Corporation in New York City and later was substitute teacher with Duval County Schools. She was an active parishioner at St. Josephs Catholic Church serving as Minister of The Eucharist and Co-Director of Lectors. She was also very involved in the Mandarin Women’s Club serving as Sunshine Lady, Parliamentarian and Treasurer.
Preceding her death are her parents George and Anna D’Arcy as well as her brother Eugene. She is survived by her husband John, her son John III, her grandson John IV, her sister Jacqueline along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation for Susan will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 11757 Old St Augustine Rd , Jacksonville, FL 32258. The committal service will occur following the mass Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 11757 Old St Augustine Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32258.
