Susanne Catherine Partain, age 85, passed away on November 26, 2024, at Life Care on Wells Crossing in Orange Park, Florida. Born in Saginaw, Michigan, on June 8, 1939, she lived in Jacksonville, Florida for most of her life. Susanne was known for her sharp wit, resilience, compassion and love. She was a wonderful mother and friend.
She enjoyed music, writing, baseball and football. She loved animals, sitting on the porch with a Pepsi and taking in the outdoors (watching the birds and squirrels, and cuddling stray cats that found their way to her).
Susanne leaves behind two daughters, Monica Susanne Partain and Melissa Marie Partain, along with nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Goldie Coolidge; her brother, Mark Coolidge; her daughter, Katina Estelle Gillette (Roan); her son, Jules Pierre Gillette; and her husband, Joseph Partain.
