COON, Susie Mae Hamrick Coon, 92 of Jacksonville, FL, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 21, 2011, surrounded by her family at her bed side. Susie was born in Ocilla, Georgia on August 17, 1918. She was married to Ernest L. Coon (now deceased) on 11-11-34 in Jacksonville. Susie was a member for 70 years at Lem Turner Road Church of the Nazarene and was currently attending Lannie Road Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Irene (Charles) Crauswell; a son, Ernest F. (Thelma) Coon, Sr.; 2 sisters; 1 brother; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and her beloved dog, “Little Bit”. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 26, in the chapel of COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave., with Pastor Buddy Wimberly officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, July 25, at the funeral home.
