Taylor Andrew Hogue

On August 16th, 2024 heaven received our beloved Taylor Andrew Hogue. Taylor was born on January 16th, 1995 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Through the first year of his life Taylor enjoyed all his sister Jocelyn’s attention, they became the best of friends. A year later, Taylor’s life changed when he contracted pneumococcal meningitis. Taylor lost his hearing and developed developmental delays, but he never lost his zeal for life. Taylor welcomed his baby brother, Jordan, who became his new playmate. Life kept evolving for Taylor and required additional friends to help him out with everyday life and his love to live. His special friends were Pat Crenshaw, Derick Caceres, Tiffany Diaz, and Leashonda Jones. Taylor did more than touch people’s lives, he changed lives.

Taylor will be forever missed by his “momomomom”, Shana Miller; father, Robert Hogue (Sarah); sister, Jocelyn Smallwood (Nathan); brother, Jordan Hogue; his little Kendall; grandparents Jack and Debbie Gordon; grandmother Betty Hogue; nephews Shane, Colin, and Lawson; niece Baby Isla; aunt Lorie – who he loved to pick on; cousin Gracyn; aunt Jackie (Travis) and little Serena; aunt Dawn and Tevan;, uncles Joel, Encil (Robyn), Rex, and Brett; and childhood best friend, Breonna Talbot. Last but not least, Taylor’s “Toddfather”,Todd Conrad.

Taylor was predeceased by his grandmother Catherine, Joshua Miller, and his uncle Rex.

A visitation for Taylor will be held Friday, August 30, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage - Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. A memorial service will occur Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Chets Creek Church - Southside Campus, 6625 Terry Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32216.
