Terry and I were working for Bendix field engineering at Blount island... I was running their employees assistant program... Terry was struggling with alcohol and I suggested he go to treatment... he was rather belligerent about it but went anyhow... when he got out of treatment he came into where out offices were and I heard him holler “where’s that Ralph Sweet” I cringed but Terry was a changed man and I was very proud of who he had become ... he was a true miracle of what AA teaches us... RIP my friend Love you

Terry was the first person I met in Jacksonville. He walked up to me and said.... I see you like to ride, I ride also. Instant friendship. We had a lot of fun and meaningful rides. He truly was a one of a kind man. Helped so many people. I send my respects to his family. It's a giant loose of a great man. Ride on brother. You will be missed!  

Terry is my cousin and I would like to  share that when I lost my brother a few  years ago he was the one who helped me get through it. He was the one who called me everyday to check to see how I was doing and ask about my parents as well. His comforting words and genuine sympathy meant so much to me. He was always there to listen when I was going through a rough time. He would send me sweet messages.  I will miss my dear cousin even though I know he is in a better place now.  I know he is celebrating being with his dad and cousins. Love you always Terry❤

I was lucky that I got to share two parts of Terry’s life - baseball and NA. We had many good times at AEAA - the Seawolves and The Reds! And when Lucas was a Red and you were the only coach that would let him catch as a lefty! He was so happy.  And I was there when you first started going to NA. You had been going to AA but went with me to my first NA meeting and the rest is history...You were a great coach and a great friend! RIP Terry. I’m sure you and Rick are up there talking baseball strategy right now!

Coach was a great man that taught us young kids not only baseball but workings of life. My fondest memories were of coach sitting on his ball bucket making the team run poles lol. Of course there were other great memories like winning state championships and hanging out all day at the house with David before and after school. 

So many memories; from baseball at AEAA, parties at your house, sleep overs at your house! You were a great man and a even better role model! You will be missed Coach Terry!

  Not gonna lie. Me and Terry butted heads , but we both wanted the same thing. Make these kids into better ball players and more importantly better young men and women. We pushed each other. I hope he knew I respected him for that. He inadvertently pushed me to be a better coach. But maybe he knew what he was doing all along. . RIP Terry

I met Coach Terry when I was 12 yrs old when I was playing for a team that played his team that his son was on and he coached. During the last meeting between our teams they were kicking our butts 9-0 but after a couple of errors they made we came back only to lose to them 9-8. The very next year I was on a team with him and his son and he pushed us hard not only in games but also in practice to be the best and made sure to put the effort in to not just win on the field but also in life. Years later I asked my mother why Coach Terry wanted me on his team and she told out of all the other kids that tried out I had the most heart. Those words stuck in my heart thank you Coach Terry for everything you have done for me and everyone else you coached I'll miss you and hope in the next life you'll be my coach again.

Today was a little rough. I wanted to call you and talk like we always did early in the morning. 

I know for a certainty that I would not be alive today without this wonderful, loving, kind hearted man. I was truly blessed to have been a part of this family for so many years. Thank you my brother, for all that you gave to me, all of your teachings, the lessons learned from you. They all will be instilled in my heart forever. I will never forget you, will always love you and will miss you dearly!!! Rest In Peace Brother!!! 

I’ll always remember going against Terry and his teams at AEAA, I always knew that My team would have to bring  their best to come out on top because Terry always had his teams ready to play. He also was my son Chris’s coach on many teams and I always marveled at how treated all the kids the same from the stars to the last one on the bench. Terry did a wonderful job of molding young boys into becoming fine young men and if you’ve followed these boys you know he did his job. So the greatest  honor i can give you my friend is “Job well done “ RIP Terry it was my honor to know you my friend.

Terry you will never be forgotten and forever loved. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family. Losing you is a great loss for me and my now adult kids. Without you their may not have been me. Thank you for your life and the legacy you left behind. I for one will never forget the wisdom kindness and love you shared.  You helped so many people in your life.  Thank you for never giving up on me. I will miss you Terry. I love you very much. RIP.

I was completely broken, trying to figure out how to live when I met Terry.  He taught me you can find joy in the simplest things one day at a time. He never judged and his love was unconditional. I had nothing to give my children for Christmas one year and his union friends gave us gift cards that year. I'll never forget you Terry. 

Terry was family. I have known him as so so many others for over 20 years. He would ride his bike down to Daytona. He was such a special spirit. I send love and prayers to his family! I hope that the love you receive from so many people provide at least some comfort. I could only hope to continue to touch the lives of others as he did.
