Terry Joseph McGovern Sr.

Terry Joseph McGovern, Sr., 84, passed away July 19, 2012. Born in Newberry, Florida, Terry lived in Brunswick, Georgia before making Jacksonville home in the late 1950’s. He was a Merchant Marine, entrepreneur, and practiced audiology until retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Isle of Faith United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Flavius Lee (Nipper) McGovern and William Thomas McGovern; sisters, Juanita Morris and Margie Hamilton and brothers, Carl McGovern and Billy McGovern. He is survived by his children; Terry McGovern, Jr., Patti Fields (Robbie), Debbie Myrick (Jim), Anne Sutton, Julie Carter, and John Carter; sister, Kathryn Sanford (Sandy); 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
