In university, a small group of us had a LAN party. Terry arrived and started hauling his computer in. At one point he was lugging in this super heavy, uninterruptible power supply. A UPS is essentially a battery to keep your computer powered in the event of a blackout. Back then a UPS had to be huge in order to power a tower and CRT.  A big, lead brick. Almost needed two people to move it. We couldn’t believe it! We thought it excessive for an evening of gaming and gave him some ribbing over it. 

As an aside, the UPS was a good model. It also conditioned the power so there was another good reason to use it. 

We all got setup and into the games (Quake 3 Arena was one). Late afternoon turned to night. And BAM! The power went out all over the neighborhood. First time in years. We are all sitting in the dark scratching our heads. Except for Terry.  Terry had a huge grin on his face lit by the glow of his CRT while he continued to play. It was awesome.

Terry, 
I am honored to have you as a friend, you were extremely humble, gentle, polite and professional. You always respect people around you and be thankful all the time. 
It’s God’s grace that you don't have to be in jail for the crime you did not commit. I am sure you are with our Lord in the paradise with no pain no tears, full of peace and joy.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers to your mother and your son and daughter and other family members and friends.

I worked with Terry over the last year and will always remember his kindness and positive attitude.   He was the best of people and I will miss seeing his smile.   Rest in peace Terry

When you lose someone suddenly like this, it leaves a lot unsaid. Terry had plans to come back to Canada and start over in Calgary with his friends and family. He wanted to get a dog and spoil his loved ones with his passion for cooking. He dreamed of making extraordinary treats in the kitchen and had started dabbling in fun things like gummy bear making. 

He was a devoted father, a true family man who litterly would do anything for his family - blood or chosen. He adored his children. Even after everything he had suffered through, he forgave them. 

Terry was one of the most caring generous people I've ever know. He was empathetic and would literally do anything for those he cared about, and he cared about everyone. 

Terry had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up an entire room. His soul was always so gentle and kind. He hated that things often ended in one side winning while the other lost, because he felt bad for the losers. He often wished everyone could just win. I loved his curious nature. 

Terry's absence in the world has left a hole in my heart. He will be forever missed. Forever loved. And never forgotten. 

So sad to hear of Terry's passing.  He was a great friend and co-worker.  He was one of the best at his craft.  He will be missed.

I knew Terry when first started at Shire/Takeda back in 2011.  He was one of the most intelligent people I've ever met, and was always willing to pass his knowledge onward.  He was such a kind hearted person.  May he Rest in Peace. 

Terry,
You were one of the kindest people I have ever known.   My heart breaks for your mom and close friends.   I would like to think I was one of those close friends.   Life at the end was very unfair to you and I pray you have found peace.   I also pray that your children will grow up to find out what a wonderful loving father they had.

Terry's thoughtfulness, diligence, care, and kindness were an example to us all.  Terry reminds us all of the opportunity we have every day to uplift the lives of those around us.  His presence at InductiveHealth will be missed.

Terry, you were more than a coworker - you were a friend and a brother to me at a time when both were rare in my life. We worked long hours in the trenches together, shared the challenges of fatherhood with each other, shared our families, and encouraged each other just about life.  Without doubt, yours was one of the gentlest hearts I'll ever know, and this past week of knowing that your presence is no longer earthside has been one of the hardest weeks of my adult life.

I'll miss you bro. Be at peace.

Terry, I was saddened to hear about your passing.  You were a kind soul and a loving father. I remember how you gushed about your 2018 Paris trip with your family and couldn't wait to share photos.  You even brought me macarons back - again, you were so kind.  It was a pleasure working with you and I'm glad we were able to keep in touch when you moved on.  My sincerest condolences to your mom and all that loved you.  Rest in eternal peace my friend.

You had the most generous heart of anyone I have ever known. You were such a great Dad, a loving son, & the kindest, most caring friend a person could ever be blessed with. Thank you for being exactly who you were, Terry. It’s been one week without you here & our world is not the same. You are so deeply missed but will forever remain in our hearts, my friend. Love you always, dearest Terry. 

Terry, my friend, Friday night at 7 pm has forever changed for me.  You won't be on the other end of my screen.  My heart is broken.  You were the kindest person I have ever met.  You became Family; a member who is irreplaceable.  You were a man of integrity and honesty. You loved your children unconditionally with all your heart.  For that, I will never forget you. You are free.  Heaven gained an Angel on November 8th, but I lost someone who inspired dignity and respect. Gone but never forgotten. May perpetual light shine upon you.  May your Soul Rest in Eternal Peace. 

Terry was the kindest person I know.  I wish I could express how great Terry was like the other tributes have done so eloquently.  
I am a better person for having known Terry and I will miss him.  Rest in peace dear Terry and know that you were loved and will be loved always.  

Terry you were kind to a fault, an excellent Father and a good friend.  I trust that you are in a place filled with kindness and love. You loved your children and everyone knew it.  Your passing has left us with a void in our hearts and you will be surely missed. Rest in Eternal Peace my friend.

Terry my sweetest and kindest friend. It has been an honor to have known him. No matter whatever he was going through he made sure people around him smiled. He was always willing to help. Terry was a fighter and a strong willed person. And without a doubt the best Father. Every time he would talk about his children all I could see was love and warmth in his eyes. Like he would do anything to make them happy. He loved and respected his mother equally.

His presence made me smile and I believed that world could truly have good people like him. I am sad that he had to leave us like this but I do trust he is in a much better place.  

God loved him and did not want him to suffer anymore so God took Terry from us. But Terry has taught me many good things and I will dearly remember and cherish his good memories and sweet face.  We all Love you very much Terry. I know for sure, wherever you are, you will be spreading even more love. You will be missed <3
