Tessie Gross Taxier

Tessie Gross Taxier, 103, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, passed away March 14th, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida. She leaves two children, Iris Krawitz (Jerry) of Wilton, Ct, and Teddy Lessner (Jerry) of Atlanta, GA. She leaves five grandchildren, Joel Krawitz (Sheila), Jaime Krawitz, Cole Krawitz, Kimberly Lessner Harper (Otis), Daniel Lessner and three great grandchildren, Zachary, Sophia and Jackson. She was a member of the Jacksonville Jewish Center for over 60 years and a lifetime member of Hadassah. Among her many interest she was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed entertaining children from the community. It is through her love of family and music she will be remembered most. Loved by many, she was a great inspiration to her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to the Martin J. Gottlieb Day School Mitzvah Project Fund at the Jacksonville Jewish Center or the organization of the donor’s choice. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 21 at 1:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel. Funeral Home, with Rabbi Jesse M. Olitzky of the Jacksonville Jewish Center as Officiant. Followed by burial in New Center Cemetery.
