Thelma Terrill Smith

Jacksonville, FL – Thelma Terrill Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on February 7, 2022.

Thelma was born on September 22, 1953, in Conway, South Carolina, a daughter of Thomas Barnhill (Patricia) and Mary Louise Watts. Other than her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her cousin Carl Floyd.

Thelma is survived by her four sons, Kenneth Terrill II (Michelle) of Texas, Kristopher Terrill (Jaclyn) of Florida, Kyle Terrill of Florida and Kourtney Terrill of Florida. Her five grandchildren Ka’tlin, Kyle II, Katie, Kimberly, Kayla and a great-grandchild named Lucy Irene.

Thelma is also survived by her cousins Teresa Tate of Texas and James Tate of North Carolina. As well as siblings Janie Phillips, Thomas Barnhill Jr and Velma Ellis, all of Florida.

She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who mourn her passing.

She will be remembered for being the shoulder everyone leaned on and trusted.
