Theodore John Marion II (TJ) of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2021 at the age of 38 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. He was born on May 7, 1982 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Theodore John I and late Hermenia Olivia. He proudly served in the US Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate from 2003-2018.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kendra; adored children, Iliana, Olivia Esme, & Makhi; father, Theodore Marion I; siblings, Kimberly Clark and Eric Stradford; and nephew, Michael Phillips. He is also survived by extended family members: The Fabians, The Fontenots, The Anchetas, The Crisostomos, The Bandas, and countless other aunties and uncles.
TJ cherished his best friend and sweetheart, Kendra of 9 years. He was so proud of her and would introduce her as his personal nurse. He ensured they had a strong foundation to their marriage and firmly believed in always dating your spouse.
TJ was devoted to his family. There was no doubt he was a dedicated & loving father to all three of his children, whom he treasured so much. He was frequently found cheering at Iliana’s soccer games and spending time with Esme and Makhi.
TJ enjoyed watching movies, basketball games, and wrestling, walking his dogs Mando and Melo, taking vacations to Orlando, traveling, celebrating countless birthdays and holidays with his extended family at “Mom and Dad’s house” and visiting with his darling Nanay. He loved playing NBA2K on his PlayStation and if you saw him around, he would be wearing his AirPods because he loved listening to music & podcasts.
He worshiped & praised God at Celebration Church and was an active member of the Usher team, Men’s group, & served as a volunteer. One of his best memories was the day he got baptized alongside his wife and the Rivas family.
“Life will never be the same without you, babes. You will forever be my rock, my best friend, my partner & my soulmate. You fought so hard to be with us these past years, I will always be honored to have taken care of you, and that God had chosen you for me! Love you sweetheart to the moon & back. 143, My HubBay.” -Your Sweetheart, Rib, and Firecracker, Kendra.
TJ’s celebration of life will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1130 AM EST. In compliance with COVID precautions we are requesting immediate family only in attendance.
Join us during service time at your respective homes & time zones in PRAYER & CANDLELIGHT in honor of our beloved Darling TJ.
