Tom and I waited tables together at Angelo’s restaurant while we were at FSU.  We laughed so much during our shifts that I was always on edge about gettong fired.  Tom had a 280Z  at the time that he absolutely loved.  I was following him in my car one day and Tom, as Tom often would, put on a little show for me:  while driving down Tennessee Street, all at once he stuck his head out the open t-top, then stretched his long arms out both driver and passenger windows, and struck piece signs with both hands.  It looked like a cartoon.  I’d never seen anyone do that, and nearly 40 years later, I haven’t seen it since.  I’m smiling now just thinking of him.  I will always remember Tom for his infectious smile—there was no way you could not feel good about life whenever you were in Tom’s presence.  I just learned today of Tom’s passing, after googling him.  I don’t know what triggered me to look him up, but even though we hadn’t talked for 30 years, I miss him.  Rest in peace, good man.

I am Tommy's Uncle Joe, in Michigan.  I was so impressed with Tommy as a youngster, as he grew into manhood, married and started his own family that  Jo Ann and I named our first son after him. My prayers and heartfelt hugs to his Mother and Wife and their children..
Life is too damn short!

Just heard the sad and shocking news of Tom's death, am so distraught  to learn we'll never see that big grin until we meet again.  I have been with Allstate since '97, first with Dad Michael, then Mom Carol, then with wonderful Tom.  Just met with him last August, and will cherish our chat forever.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his loving family and many friends.  May you all have calm seas and trailing winds.

I am at a loss for words, there are no words that can express such a terrible loss,he was loved by all that knew him, and Tom will be forever missed, its like losing a member of my own family. Doing businss with Tom for so many years and will miss our wonderful conversations. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Blinstrub Family in this time of loss. Tom was my insurance agent for 5 years. His business was located right next door to mine. It was always a pleasure to speak with him. When my 16yr old daughter got into an accident he took the time to speak with her and help her become a safer driver. As a fellow motorcyclist and bicycle rider I am greatly shocked by this tragic news. I am so sorry for your loss.

Tom was the greatest boss I have ever had. He meant so much to so many. He was so proud of his sweer daughter Cassidi. I am so glad I had the pleasure of seeing him each day for the last year. Goodbye to a wonderful sweet soul.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of a wonderful man.  Tom was the best roommate anyone could have fun, caring and generous. I pray for God to take his family in his hands and comfort them during their time of grief.

My prayers are with the Blinstrub family. I have fond memories of Tom in highschool. When I talked to him at our 25th class reunion he proudly showed me photos of his beautiful family and home. He was a very nice man and fun to be around.
