Thomas Rogers Davis, born February 14, 1944, went to be with Jesus on December 23, 2018. Tom, son of the late Albert Gibson and Mary Finney Davis, is survived by Anne Bagshaw Davis; daughter, Rebecca Anne Cumbie (Jay); grandsons, Michael and Nicholas in Jacksonville; and a son, Gregory Thomas Davis (Ally) in Savannah.
Tom’s many life experiences included the US Navy, shark fishing, clowning (“JoJo the Magical Clown”), managing the family rental property business and a downtown parking company; being a State of Florida delinquency counselor and 6th grade math teacher; retired as collector for the IRS while riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle to work; and running his own “Tom the Handyman Business”. Tom was a faithful member of Southside United Methodist Church since 1979.
A service of celebration of his life and faith will be held on Saturday, December 29th, at Southside United Methodist Church, 3120 Hendricks Ave. at 11:00 am with Dr. Bruce Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be designated for the SUMC Friends Ministry.
