Thomas Chi-Wing Kung was born on December 9, 1961 in Hong Kong. Thomas was 58 yrs. old when he passed away on October 12, 2020 at Mayo's Community Hospice McGraw Center, Jacksonville, Florida. His father-in-law Rev. John Secret, his mother-in-law Pat, stepson Joseph Wilcox and his wife Christina surrounded him with love, scripture and songs. Jesus picked him up and carried Him in his arms at 10pm on October 12th.

Growing up in Hong Kong, Thomas attended an all boy's Christian school. He would later attend Hong Kong University and earned a Master's in Mechanical Engineering. Thomas,
I am so sadden by the news that you had passed away so young so soon. You were such a caring, sincere, optimistic and nice brother that always remembered our birthdays and sent cards to us. You were the most educated and successful in your professional career among our four siblings. You made our parents so proud of you and so do we. No matter what kinds of difficulties you came across and some ups and downs in life, you just laugh and said you could handle and solve that. You were always confident in yourself and said one should keep focus and look forward and not being timid to face the problems and blame on anyone or anything.
May you rest in peace and you will be missed and remembered in my heart.

Our condolences on the passing of Uncle Thomas. He cared deeply for his family and for those around him. I have not met anyone as hard working and studious as he was and for that he was such a great role model to me. Your positive influence on all of us is not to be understated. We will cherish our memories of you. May you now rest in eternal peace.

Christina please accept our deepest sympathy as you remember Uncle Thomas and know that we are also here for you.

With love,
Patrick, Amanda, Nathan, and Allison

Thomas is caring, confident, and considerate brother. He will always go out of the way to ask how others are doing and wish us well. During every holiday, he is one of the first to send us holiday check ins. My most cherish memory of him is when mom would knit us matching pattern pants for new years. We will miss him dearly.

I have one elder sister; two elder brothers and Tom was the most active or you can say he was the naughtiest among the four of us. When little, he was not that kind of a hand holding or the one that would smother the younger siblings with loving kindness person, instead, he loved to tease me, making fun of me at times which really annoyed me. As he grew up, he became a devoted Christian and his attitude had changed, from a naughty child to a grade A student. He was always outgoing, cheerful, well organized and a delegated person. He is academics smart, always achieved good grades in schools that made my parents so proud of him. Tom was always known for his optimistic and can-do attitude. He loved trying new things and enjoyed walking in the parks. I always went up to him for advice and guidance for self-improvement. He saved me from kicking out of school by giving me a very good exercise book in physics when I was in Grade 8, he said to me, “you do not you need to fully understand physics, in fact you will never use it again, your best strategy now it to calculate every question in this exercise book every day until you are familiar with each and every answer, get passed and moved on.“ He was right, I got passed with flying colours and I graduated from middle school never touched on physics again.
Two years ago, Tom and Christina, me and my husband Adam went on a crew in the Bahamas with my mom, that was a wonderful trip organized by Tom, we all enjoyed that trip so much and that memorable trip will always remembered. Thank you Tom, we will miss you so much and you will always be stayed in our hearts.
