Thomas Edwin Lide "Ed"

Thomas Edwin Lide “Ed”, born August 9, 1930 in Atlanta, Ga. passed away June 6, 2012 in St Johns, Fl. He moved with his family to Jacksonville when he was four. He graduated from Robert E. Lee H.S. before serving four years in the U.S. Army. He graduated from University of Florida with a BS degree in Business. He was a general contractor, designing and building homes in the local area. He had a passion for inventing useful and unusual products. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, two children, Bradley(Cindy) and Lisa(Norman)Sherwood, one step-daughter Michelle (Domonic), numerous grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters Anne Tilton and Elizabeth Lide, cousin Lee Dowling and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 9, 2012 at 11:00am in the Hardage-Giddens Hendricks Chapel with chaplain Patrice Spencer officiating.
