Thomas Matthews, 74, went to be with his maker on May 16, 2024. He is survived by brothers Bob Matthews and John Matthews, niece April, nephew Johnny, grandnephews Clayton and Cayden, and grandnieces Ellie and Sadie. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine Matthews. Thomas graduated from Terry Parker High School in 1968 and worked as a printer at Barnett Bank and Greg Allen Printing for 40 years. He was a season ticket holder for both JU basketball and Jacksonville Suns/Shrimp for many years. He loved to fish and was an avid bowler, having once bowled a 299! Tom was a lifelong member of Christ the King Catholic Church and an usher for many decades. A memorial service will be held at the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home on Friday May 31, 2024 at 5 pm. A memorial mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday June 1, 2024 at 11:30 am.
