Thomas "Tom" Terry Florence

Thomas Terry Florence, age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 21, 2018. He was born January 19, 1957, in Jacksonville, FL to his parents, Thomas Paul Florence and Margaret Jeanette Anderson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and beloved friend. Tom was a US Army Veteran and was a retired maintenance craftsman. He had a love for music and even had the opportunity to perform in an orchestra. Tom was known as a seasoned drummer and percussionist. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Theresa Florence; their three children, Jennifer Stewart (Ron), Christen Florence (Miguel), and Thomas E. Florence (Vicky); sisters, Patricia Ann Tyler (James), Pamela Ann Floyd (Eddie); seven grandchildren, a niece and three nephews. A viewing will be held at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. on Wednesday, June 27th from 5-8 pm. A celebration of his life is planned to be held at Franklin Street Baptist Church, 2521 Franklin Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Rev. Terry Gore officiating on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:00 am.
