Timothy "Scott" Power died on January 17, 2019 at Mayo Hospital after a long illness in Jacksonville, Florida. Scott was born June 6, 1961 in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Jacksonville. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1979, where he played football and basketball for the Generals. Scott recently moved back to Jacksonville after a long career in Orlando and Atlanta. He enjoyed helping others through volunteer work.
Scott is survived by his two sons, Marc Dalton Power and Alexander Scott Power, DeBary Florida; his mother, Peggy Power, Jacksonville; his sister, Tammy Power, Jacksonville; and his brother, Mark Power, Jacksonville. He is predeceased by his father, M. Leigh Power Sr. (2012) ; and his brother M. Leigh Power, Jr. (2005).
At Scott's request, there will not be a memorial service. The family suggests memorials be sent to the Mayo Clinic (Transplants) or the Methodist Children's Home.
HARDAGE-GIDDENS EDGEWOOD CHAPEL, 729 EDGEWOOD AVENUE SOUTH, is serving the family.
