Traude A. Bohrman

Traude Anna Elisabeth Bohrman, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 5th, 2023. She was born in Bad Munster Eberburg, Germany on May 28th 1932 to Friedrick Ott and Johanna Brenks Ott. She was married to Herbert R. Bohrman (deceased 12/07/2011) and previously to Alvie L. Jordan. She is survived by her son, Bart D. Jordan, (Babs), Grandson Alex L. Jordan (Lindsay), granddaughter Devin M. Jordan (Nichole), great-grandchildren Riley E. Jordan and Raegan S. Jordan, Liam Polo.

Traude met her first husband while he was serving in the US Army in Germany. They settled in Jacksonville, Fl where she found employment with Jacksonville Paper Company. She became a naturalized citizen in 1958. In 1964 she moved over to Mac Papers as their first employee and retired as a vice president in 1998. After her divorce from Alvie, she met Herbert who she wed in 1976. She described her time with him as the best years of her life. They loved to travel, especially on cruises, a tradition she continued solo long after Herbert’s passing.

Traude will be remembered for her strong will, staunch loyalty, deep love for her family and her adopted country. She was one of a kind and an inspiration to all of us who knew her – She will be deeply missed.

A graveside service for Traude will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery in the King David Section, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
