Velma Harrison Creel

Velma was 101 years and 11 months of age. Velma was a devoted wife and homemaker to Lester Creel. Velma is survived by her niece and care giver Patricia Wilkes and nephew John Creel (Anita) and nephew Alvin Creel and many other family members. Velma is preceded in death by her loving husband Lester E. Creel, Mother and father Thomas Riley Harrison Sr and Rebecca Jordan Harrison, her brothers and sisters Thomas Harrison Jr, Leon Harrison, Holbert Harrison, Gladys Ruley, Nellie Hammer, Hattie Horne, Evelyn Green, and Doris Creel. Velma faithfully attended and was a member of Southside Assembly of God Church with her husband Lester. Later in life she attended New Life Christian Fellowship. Velma is also predeceased by many nieces, nephews, and family members.

On Thursday, September 10, 2026, there will be a visitation at 1:00 PM and funeral service at 2:00 pm at Dignity Hardage-Giddens Chapel 4300 Beach Blvd in the main office chapel officiated by Patrick G. Wilkes. A private interment committal will be performed at Greenlawn cemetery 4300 Beach Blvd Jacksonville Florida 32207 at 3:00 pm.
