Verna was employed in earlier years by Lawrence Pharmaceuticals and as a Realtor specializing in new home construction. She was a member of the Church of Our Savior before moving to Deland to be closer to her only child.
She is survived by her daughter and only child, Kimberly Suzanne McLaughlin; cherished grandchildren, Bailie Elizabeth and Connor Edward McLaughlin; brother, Robert Dinkins II; and sister, Linda Melton.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 31st in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 31st in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Rev. Trent Moore as Officiant, followed by interment at 2:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, 5463 Woodlawn Cemetary Rd, Macclenny, FL 32063.
