Vincent F. DeSalvo Jr.

Vincent was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 13, 1946. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School then honorably served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Vincent owned Mary Ann's Golden Fried Chicken before buying the iconic Beach Road Chicken Dinners Restaurant in 1980 which was his pride and joy. He worked side by side in the family business with his wife of 45 years, three children and many long time employees for 23 years. Vincent's story was featured in the paperback book "Legendary Locals of Jacksonville". Vincent had a strong work ethic like no other and a brilliant business mind. He never met a stranger and had an amazing wit, larger than life personality and his friends especially knew him for his unique laugh.

First came faith and family, then his true passion in life was love of fishing, boating, snorkeling for lobster and spending summer family vacations in the Florida Keys.

Vincent was predeceased in death by his father, Vincent F. DeSalvo, Sr., mother, Tena N. DeSalvo, brother, Joseph DeSalvo and brother, Frank DeSalvo. He is survived by his sister Tena Ferger (Ken) of Jacksonville, FL, and Dana Perrone (Anthony) of Tampa, FL, Vincent is survived by his wife Mary Solomon DeSalvo of Jacksonville, FL, son, John DeSalvo of Jacksonville, FL, daughter, Angela Cothran (Josh) of Birmingham, AL, and daughter Tena Ajlouny (Naseem) of Birmingham, AL, grandchildren, Sara Cothran, Allison Cothran, Marisa Ajlouny and Becca Ajlouny. The family is extremely grateful to the caring staff of nurses and doctors at Memorial Hospital who made Vincent as comfortable as possible.

Vincent was a long time member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and will be deeply missed. Due to Covid, a private service will be held.
