Aunt Gin and Uncle Harmon; what special individuals, and what a special couple. 

As I think back over seven decades of growing up and growing old with Gin and Harmon, I have only fond memories of time spent with the "B-heims".  Their demeanor remained the same from the time I was a youngster, through adolescence and now as I am a senior citizen myself. 

From the '40s through every visit since, similes, easy-going and gentleness were the hallmarks of this twosome.  Smiles were always on everyone's face when they were cutting-up with my mom, dad, sister and me at family gatherings.  Easy-going was the tone of all conversations, even when topics could have gotten emotional.  And what a remarkable parenting style they had with their children: "Gentle Persuasion" was what I remember as a youngster watching them rear my cousins, Dickie, Connie and Jimmy. 

I can't think of a single instance when I can recall Gin having a negative comment about anyone's behavior from discussions about the most public of public figures to the antics of a family member; never any harsh criticism, nothing judgmental.  She lived the life of the old song lyrics, "accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative," and she did so in such a genuine way. 

Even after Harmon was gone, living alone and despite suffering from a number of afflications of aging, Gin remained Gin--always hospitable and easy-going--a truly special woman. 

I can only imagine the joy of her and Harmon's souls now that they've re-joined one another. Oh Happy Day.

Connie, Dickie, Jimmy and family our prayers and hearts are with you.  My Aunt Ginny and Uncle Harmon were special to me during my childhood and later while serving in the Marine Corps.  Their "door" was always open to me and my friends.  Two memories are special to me.  Uncle Harmon always gave Christmas presents as a box inside a box inside a box until the last surprise box that when opened always jumped out at me like a "Jack in the Box.".  Everyone nearby always jumped back and then we all laughed.  The second is the hospitality Ginny and Harmon provided to me and my Marine buddies whenever we were in Jacksonville.  Several of my buddies "adopted" them and returned to visit long after our assignment ended.  They are now at peasce together in the Mansion that Jesus promised us all and they deserve His special care.  God bless you all.  Cousin, Eddie

Connie, I am so sorry I was not there to be with you and to say my goodbyes to your Mom.  She is in a much better place and not suffering anymore.  The girls are back together in heaven and she is with your Dad!  I will miss her sitting behind me in church!

Dear Connie, I know that you have a empty place in your heart where your mother has always resided, it will be better with time but nothing will ever fill her place.  She was the kindest sweetest most loving person I have ever known.  Her laughter and smile will never be forgotten by anyone that was ever graced with her presence.  You are in my prayers.

Aunt Ginny will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time of sorrow.
