Virginia Robinson Runck

Virginia (Jinny/Din/ Nena/ Mema/ Grandma) Robinson Runck, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2019. Born December 13, 1924 in Bethelboro, PA. She moved to Ft. Lauderdale during the depression, where she met and married her childhood sweetheart, Thomas D Runck. Together they raised a family in Ft. Lauderdale.

In 1975 her husband retired and they moved to Franklin, NC where they lived together “up on the mountain” for 35 years. Due to Thomas’s health issues, they moved to Jacksonville, FL to be closer to family. They moved to Taylor Manor, a retirement community in 2011. In January 2017 they celebrated 70 years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William & Charles Robinson, her Sister, Rebecca Dockery, her husband Thomas, 2 great-grandsons, Donovan Thomas Redding and William Gray Shepherd. Virginia is survived by her sister Jane Johnson 98, a son, Thomas Jr. (wife Marilyn), daughters Charlene Warren (Husband Richard), Debera Killam (Husband Gary), 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Mandarin on Sunday October 6, 2019 at 1:00-3:00PM, Service at 3:00PM. There will be a graveside burial at Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, FL on Monday October 7, 2019 at 11:00AM.
