OBITUARY

Wade Benjamin Merritt

July 28, 1999May 6, 2020

Wade Benjamin Merritt, 20 years old, of Jacksonville, Florida was born on July 28, 1999 in Orlando Florida. He passed away on May 6, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. He is survived by his mother, Kristina Rodriguez of Jacksonville, Florida; his father, Nathan Merritt of Virginia; sister, Bailey Ford of Jacksonville, Florida; abuela, Janet Harney; tias: Tia Tess Scott and her husband David, Tia Mellissa Richards and her husband, proud Tio Thomas Richards, Tia Linda Perry, Tia Ovania Rodriguez; cousin/sibling Megan Davis and her husband and great influence, Lee Davis; and the most special little people, Ian, Liam, Camden, Ava and Landon Davis.

He was so passionate about the relationships he formed with people. Wade had such a big heart, but I believe he didn't see himself as having so much. I was granted the joy along with others to watch him turn into a great young man from the boy we all started to LOVE.

Wade was preceded in death by his abuelo Benjamin C. Rodriguez, Sr. who I know would have loved to meet him; his Tio Benjamin C. Rodriguez, Jr. and his Tia Robert Stavitski.

I would also like to send special thanks to his friends -- the ones who REALLY never left his side. I won't specify in case of missing someone, but I hope I have made you aware of who you are.

---- Kristina Rodriguez

I am glad Dale and I had the pleasure of meeting you and Wade at Megan's birthday party in 2019. You were so friendly and fun-loving and Wade so polite and such a sincere young man who impressed us with his mild manner and genuine love for all. So sorry for your tragic loss. May God help you through this very difficult time.
