Weston James Gies

Weston James Gies was born in Saint Augustine, Florida on May 5, 2021, to his loving parents Jeffrey and Marissa Gies. Weston spent his first eight weeks in Wolfson Children’s Hospital CVICU after being diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.

Weston was valiantly cared for by Marissa and Jeffrey, and his nurses and therapists. He was adored by his big brother, Hunter. He touched many hearts in his short time here and was surrounded by so much love.

He is survived by his parents and brother. Along with Grandparents James & Deborah Gies and Joanne Dirlam, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who loved and treasured him. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Russell Dirlam and Grandmother Diane Woodington.

Marissa and Jeffrey send their love and thanks to all the friends and family who have helped and supported them, and to the caring medical teams in Saint Augustine and Jacksonville who cared for Weston.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 29th at Hardage-Giddens Mandarin Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in Weston’s name.
