Born on July 24, 1939 in Lake Worth, FL, Wilda lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to her family. To know her was to feel entirely welcomed and loved.
Her greatest joy, by far, was her family. She was the incredibly proud mother of her two daughters, Cathi and Diana (Paul), raising them with the same gentle strength and grace she carried throughout her entire life.
When she became a grandmother to her five grandchildren—Anthony (Brianna), Tyler (Kim), Austin (Lindsey), Alex, and Cole (Mary Grace)—her heart only grew. As a grandma, she was unmatched. Whether she was sharing stories, hosting family gatherings, or simply offering a listening ear and a warm hug, she made sure each of her grandchildren knew they were her absolute world. Her legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will live on through them forever.
Beyond her family, Wilda loved her many positions at her church, and she brought beauty and joy to everything she touched. She left a legacy of devotion to her family and service to her church homes.
She is survived by her two loving daughters; her five cherished grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren Clary, Caroline, Charlotte, Zayd, Cate, Smith; and a lifetime of beautiful memories. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Phillip Padgett.
