

Wilfrid, age 61, was born in Les Cayes, Haiti on September 24th, 1961 to Louis Jouquin, and Annie Jean Baptiste. Wilfrid passed away in a car accident on I-295 on the Buckman Bridge on February 28th, 2023.
Wilfrid came from Haiti to the United States and pursued an American High School degree at Florida Community College of Jacksonville (FCCJ). Wilfrid’s longest employment was at the Kraft-Heinz Portion Control facility in Jacksonville, FL where he faithfully worked as a processor for 24 years. Through many physical ailments, Wilfird maintained near perfect attendance at work. Wilfrid was recognized for his hard work and dedication and he received many awards throughout his time working at Heinz.
Wilfrid was a faithful Christian. He loved the Lord and His word. Many evenings WIlfrid could be seen reading his bible, even reading it to his wife, Alganesh during their first few years of marriage. He was a man of conviction and did not compromise in his beliefs. Wilfrid was a member of Crown Point Baptist Church for many years before attending Deermeadows Baptist Church in 2016.
Wilfrid is survived by his wife of 29 years, Alganesh Jouquin; his aunt, Annie Jouquin Jean Louis; two brothers, Faubert and Jeneve Jouquin; sister, Nana; his daughter, Fatima (Gary) Davis; his Goddaughter, Nadeje (Isaac) Jean Louis; two sons, Allen (Nicole) Jouquin and Amos Jouquin; and four grandchildren, Zekhary and Zailah Davis, Noah Sanchez, and Adrielle Jouquin. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren in recent years. He is loved by all who knew him and will be sincerely missed.
Wilfrid’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14th from 6 PM to 8 PM and his Celebration of Life service will be on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at Deermeadows Baptist Church at 11 AM followed by a graveside service. Both will be officiated by Pastor Larry Yarborough.
