Bill Eldeb, 84, peacefully journeyed home on April 10, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born August 4th, 1932 to Ally and Anna (Morena) Eldeb in Quincy, Massachusetts. He is 1 of 11 children.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 27 years, retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer.
He was married to the love of his life, Bonnie, for 45 years. Her passing in 2001, lead Bill to find his purpose in life, volunteering.
He volunteered at Alamacani Elementary School, everyone knew him simply as “Grandpa”. He cherished his time that he spent at Alamacani. He had the privilege of receiving the volunteer of the year award.
Bill is of the Catholic faith, and was a member of Assumption Catholic Church.
Bill is predeceased by his brother, Jimmy, and sisters, Harriett, Lila, Anamae and Cassandra. Bill is survived by his sons, William David Eldeb (Patty) and John Eldeb (Tina), three grandchildren, Brooks, Ryan, and Nicole Eldeb. He is survived also by two brothers, Ronnie and Norman, and three sisters, Elmina, Diane, and Karen.
The family will receive relatives and friends on April 28th, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on April 29th, 2017 at 10 am at Assumption Catholic Church, 2431 Atlantic Blvd. 32207.
Internment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Family and friends will gather for a luncheon reception at Assumption Catholic Church in Kohl’s Hall following internment.
