

William James Fouraker III, aged 79, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2024. Born on September 20th, 1945, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and brother whose legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
William is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ruby Fouraker, and was the proud father of six children: Margery Fouraker Flannagan and husband Gene Flannagan; William James Fouraker IV and wife Sheri Fouraker; Eric Fouraker and wife Kimberly Fouraker; Keith Fouraker and wife DJ Fouraker; Erin Fouraker and fiancé Jay Murphy; and Matthew Fouraker. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one great-grandchild. Additionally, he is survived by two brothers, Mikael Fouraker and wife Linda Fouraker, and Steve Fouraker.
William was known for his love of scuba diving, both as an instructor and researcher, as well as his passion for photography. He was a dedicated member of St. John's Cathedral and Episcopalian Cursillo groups. His impact on those around him was profound, and he will be deeply missed by family and friends alike.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at St. John's Cathedral in downtown Jacksonville, with interment to follow at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel & Cemetery in San Marco.
Donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or Camp Weed, organizations that were significant to William.
