William Horace Harden,

HARDEN, William Horace Harden, Jr., 85, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009. A native of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Mr. Harden had lived most of his life in Jacksonville, was a longtime member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church and had retired after many years with Winn-Dixie. He lived a full and rich life and will be missed and loved by all that knew him. He has gone home to his wife, Gloria Faye; two sons, Buster and Christopher and two sisters, Elizabeth Staten and Joyce Richardson. He leaves behind two daughters, Anna Faye (Ray) Finklea and Melonye Nadeau; one son, Lee Charles (Elaine) Harden; four sisters, Ruth Palmer, Doris Tiefenbach, Carolyn Tucker and Frankie Tidwell; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 9, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. Bill Caverly officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday (TODAY) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4114 Sunbeam Road, Suite #101, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
