

William (Bill) M. Lowe passed peacefully surrounded by members of his loving family on October 22, 2025. Bill was born on May 5,1928 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents Robert Mackenzie Lowe and Vitula McAdams Lowe.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Patricia Ann (Duvall) Lowe in 2024. Bill was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and is survived by his children William M. Lowe, Jr., John Lowe, Michele Lowe and Laurin Vann. Grandchildren, Carrie Lowe, Alison Rosser, William M. Lowe III, Laura Hall, Christina Lowe, Sondra Plaisance; Jeremy Vann, Brandon Vann; Step-Grandchildren Fitz Griffith and Caroline Griffith; Great- grandchildren Emily Marlow, Julie Marlow, Gavin Rosser, Finley Rosser, Emmitt Rosser, Ellie Rosser, Tia Jackson, Joseph Lowe, Veronica Plaisance, Amelia Plaisance, Christian Plaisance and Oliver Meija Lowe; Son-in-laws David Vann, Jason Hall and Daughter-in-law Suzanne Lowe.
Bill served his country by joining the Air Force (Army Air Corp) in 1947 and married the love of his life Pat in October 1950 after his Honorable Discharge from service. Bill spent his entire adult life helping to guide young men as a leader in the Boy Scout program both in Louisville Kentucky and Jacksonville Florida. He was an active and dedicated member of the Mandarin Methodist church for many years beginning in the year 1980. Bill loved to teach and taught the 6th grade Sunday school class from 1981 to 2014. Bill joined the Dixie Liners Bowling league in 1980 in Jacksonville and enjoyed socializing and bowling with his team until just a couple of years ago as the oldest member of the league. Bill joined the Louisville & Nashville Railroad Company (now CSX) in 1952 and retired in 1987.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on December 5, 2025, at the Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida.
