

MANNING William Callis Manning, Jr. 80, passed away on Sunday afternoon September 28, 2014 in Jacksonville. Mr. Manning was born in Starke, Florida on May 29, 1934 to William Callis Manning, Sr. and Mary Margaret Hill Manning. Mr. Manning, a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a 38 year veteran of GM, and an avid hunter and collector. He will be remembered for his commitment to service, his love and pride in his family, and, of course, his constant sweet tooth. He was predeceased by a daughter, Pamela Manning and sister, Marjorie Dickey. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie P. Manning; daughter, Paula Orel(Dan); sons, Bob Manning(the late Shelly), Kevin Manning (Angela) and Bradley Manning (Stacey); sisters, Norma Jean Boxx, Weta Manning and Hilda Poole; a brother Larry Manning; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and several nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday (TODAY) September 30, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. 32211. Funeral services for Mr. Manning will be 12:30 pm Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7665 Ft. Caroline Rd., Jacksonville, FL. 32277. Interment will follow in Arlington Park Cemetery.
