Willie was born and educated in Rapides Parish, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Peabody High School and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1966, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until 1970, where he received an Honorable Discharge. Upon discharge, while living in Alaska, he worked for AFFES (Army, Air Force Exchange Service). There he met Edna Jane Ricard; they were married and together they traveled throughout the United States as he continued to work as an Exchange Manager for AFFES until he retired in a place called The Colony, Texas; later, he settled in Jacksonville, Florida.
His wife, Edna, preceded him in death in 2011. Also, he was preceded in death by his parents, John & Ivy Joffrion, siblings John Joffrion & Rachel J. Branche.
He leaves to mourn his sisters, Edna M. Elmore (Cleave), Nell M. Harrell (Henry), brothers, Clarence Joffrion (Marilyn) and Philip Joffrion (Arrie).
As well as a number of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Though there were no children to the union of Willie & Edna, he also leaves to mourn his death the children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews & cousins of his wife, Edna J. Ricard Joffrion. A Special Thanks to her son, Joseph (Bud) Ricard, & her granddaughter, Sarah.
Also, A Special Thanks to his longtime friends, Bob Hickey, Lew Michaels & Leroy DeVaughn, along with the Twin Falls Cul de sac Residents.
A graveside service for Willie will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
