

Wilma Wanda Kincade MacLean, 87, a native and life-long resident of Jacksonville, Florida, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her children and many of her grandchildren, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Wilma was proud of being an 8th generation Floridian. She attended Norwood Elementary School, Kirby Smith Junior High School, and Andrew Jackson High School, and during her lifetime had been a member of Second Presbyterian, Southside Estates (now Peace) Presbyterian and South Jacksonville Presbyterian churches. In her life, Wilma was a devoted daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. Wilma worked most of her life as a homemaker, and during her lifetime she enjoyed cooking, bowling, sewing and many other creative arts and crafts. She always had a sharp mind and enjoyed discussing everything from politics to sports, was a fan of Jacksonville sports teams, and an avid Gator football fan. Most important of all to her was her walk with God and her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a wonderful mother who loved her family dearly, and is survived by five children: Sydney Wade MacLean (Wilma), Wanda MacLean, Mary Evelyn (Jimmy) Vincent, Frances MacLean, and Mark (Alicia) MacLean. Additionally, she is survived by 12 grandchildren: Lori Wolfe, Donald Wade Gauthier, Jason Wade MacLean, Gordon C. MacLean, Jr., Heather MacLean, Laura MacLean, Audra MacLean, Graham MacLean Howard, Cydney Musico, Brianna MacLean, Marleah MacLean and Keegan MacLean. She was also blessed with and survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Wilma was pre-deceased by her parents, Minnie Evelyn Hood Kincade and Walter Wade Kincade, her husband Sydney G. MacLean, her son Gordon C. (Sonny) MacLean, and two sisters: Norma Kincade and Bernice Kincade Bailey.
A Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 15th from noon-2pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home located at 4115 Hendricks Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32207, with Pastor Garry Webber officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Cemetery.
