

Edwina (Winnie) Palma Bushouer, age 80, passed away Saturday October 8, 2022 following a lengthy illness. Winnie was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to Jacksonville, FL as a child. She attended Englewood High School and was the coordinator for the Class of 1960 reunions. A bookkeeper for most of her life, Winnie was a longstanding part-time employee at Haskell. She also worked as an election poll worker and was a volunteer at Baptist South Hospital. She was a member of the Sunshine Adventures RV Club and the Mandarin Women's Club. To say Winnie lived a busy and active life is an understatement. She never met a stranger and was counted as a good friend by everyone who knew her.
Winnie was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Ron; and her brother, Robert Kinard. She is survived by her four children Vicki (Jamy) Frederick, Mark (Leesa) Arzie, and Teresa Stone Irwin all of Jacksonville, and Budd Arzie of Robertsdale, AL. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren Staci (Joe) Cologero, Nicole (Jon) Davis, Tristyn Kinser, and Travis Irwin all of Jacksonville, Matt (Shuen) Fowler of Bronx, NY, Dylan Arzie of Robertsdale, AL., Tyler Stone McBride of Charleston, SC, Taylor Furukawa of Charlotte, NC, Victoria Furukawa of Terre Haute, IN ; and four great-grandchildren. Winnie is also survived by her closest family and friends John (Karen) Borne, Juanita Black and Pam Manni.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests tribute memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
