A full life came to a close Friday morning, November 9, 2012, when Yuba A. Boateng was called to her heavenly home. Yuba was born in Moultrie, Georgia, September 27, 1941, the daughter of the Charlie and Amy Albert. She joined Woodlawn Presbyterian Church over 35 years ago and had been a faithful and devoted member during her life in Jacksonville, Florida.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Dr. Alfred Boateng and his sons, Kwasi Boateng of London, England, Nana Boateng of Jacksonville, Florida and Kwabana Boateng of Sebring, Florida; her daughter, Parthy Jo Walker of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Jacquelyn A. Lee of Moultrie, Georgia and Sonda A. Bradfield of Stone Mountain, Georgia; nephews, nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, 3026 Woodlawn Road, Jacksonville 32209. Dr. Rev. Joe W. Rigsby will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
