

A beloved mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of countless individuals through her compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Yvonne began her lifelong journey of caring for others when she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. Her career was marked by a deep and abiding passion for healing, and she brought comfort and solace to countless patients throughout her many years in the healthcare profession. Her kind words and warm smile provided a sense of reassurance to all who crossed her path. Beyond her professional career, Yvonne was a selfless soul who dedicated her free time to making a difference in her community. As a hospice nurse volunteer, she provided invaluable support to those facing life's most challenging moments, offering comfort and companionship during their final journey. In times of crisis, she was a steadfast pillar of strength as a Red Cross disaster volunteer and instructor. Her training and leadership helped countless individuals and communities navigate through the darkest hours, offering hope and assistance during their most vulnerable moments.
Yvonne's legacy of compassion and service will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched. She leaves behind a family who will forever be inspired by her example of selflessness and a community that will be eternally grateful for her dedication to making the world a better place.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Karina Steinbach and her children Kristen and Zachary Steinbach all of Jacksonville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deanne Ellis and her parents. A celebration of life will be held on January 13, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, Ga at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Red Cross in her memory, continuing her legacy of compassion and service.
Yvonne will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace, her free spirit forever soaring on the winds of the adventures she so dearly loved.
