Estel Stanley Stanley Silance

Mrs. Silance was a member of the First Baptist Church, Jacksonville where she was also in the Gleaners Sunday School. Estel served in the Girls Auxillary in the church and worked with the Sun Beams, past leader in the beginner Sunday School for little folks for many years and VBS worker. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 225 since October of 1978. She was Past Matron of the Eastern Star and held many chairs in the order. She loved being with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Dempsey Silance.

Estel is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Anne Silance Ungar of Rockingham, NC and Hilda Leigh Silance Corey of New Bern, NC, 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Estel Stanley Silance will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville at 12PM, with services to follow at 1 PM, also at the funeral home with Rev. J.C. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow the service at Onslow Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville Building Fund.
