Gloria Beth Lunn, 72 of Palm Coast, FL, passed away Sunday morning at her daughter’s home.
She was a devoted and loving wife, Mom, Grandmother, and was a best friend and mentor who positively touched the lives of thousands of military families and people in her communities as a Marine Corps wife. Gloria was the first female promoted to the position of manager of McDonalds Corporation of Hawaii as well as the first female instructor of McDonalds University and received recognition with an accommodation from U.S. Congress for her achievements. As a Marine Corps wife, she was selected as 2nd Marine Division Spouse of the Year in 1988. On an accompanied tour of duty at Bahrain, Southwest Asia she was awarded the Civilian Southwest Asia medal and managed all club and recreational facilities for MWR. She retired from the Flagler County Sherriff’s Department of Florida in 2013.
Gloria is survived by her husband James Lunn of the home, her sons Tony and Mark Boatright, Joshua Kahler, daughters Twila Poland, Heather Lunn, and Shanna Goodlow, her grandchildren Christine Bickham, Jake Poland, David, Devin, Robert, Austin and Kimberly Boatright, Chloe Kahler, Aurora, Tamera, Amanda, Nia, Riley, and Jillian Lunn, Zjak de Koomen, and Harrison Kunkel, and her great granddaughter Astrid Poland.
Services will be private at the family’s request.
