June Irene Bradley
May 30, 1944 – August 4, 2018
June Irene Bradley, 74, of Jacksonville, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” R. Bradley and her daughter, Dorothy Bradley Gonzalez.
June is survived by her daughter, June Guarino and husband Gerald of East New Hanover, NJ; her son, John Bradley and wife Sandra of Jacksonville; her sister, Dorothy Styka of Mahony City, PA; seven grandchildren, Maria Russo, John Bradley Jr., Nicholas Bradley, Zachary Bradley, Luke Bradley, Christopher Bradley and wife Ariel and Jessica Gonzalez; two great grandchildren, Christopher Bradley and Lillian Bradley and her son in law Danny Gonzalez.
June loved to tell the story of how as a young adult she was a Go-Go dancer. After her dancing years, she worked as a caterer in NJ before becoming the owner of a thrift store, laundromat and delicatessen, from which she retired. She is best described as always finding joy in life not matter what obstacles were handed to her. June was a “hip Grandma” who loved music and dancing, watching movies and cooking. She had a passion for food and is most remembered for her “best in the world” cheesecake and rice pudding. She also had a knack for telling it like it is. Her candid honesty was given to anyone and everyone, welcomed or not. She had a deep love for her family which was returned to her in two fold. She will be missed but we find peace in knowing she is now with her husband, Jack and daughter, Dot watching over all of us.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 11 at Lutheran Church of our Savior, 1115 Lejeune Blvd., Jacksonville.
