He is survived by his sisters, Betty Reed and Kathy Hawkins, both of Jacksonville, brother David Hoover of Florida, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 4 great nieces, 1 great nephew, and 2 great great nieces.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville on Saturday from 7-9 PM. A “Paddle Out” will be held on Sunday at 7 PM on the north side of Surf City pier.
