I am so saddened to hear that Margaret passed away last week. She was a special friend. I talked to her just a few weeks ago. We talked about getting together when the corona virus restrictions were lifted. I worked with Margaret at Vena Wilburn Elementary School and a neighbor until her retirement and her move to Richlands. I talked to other ladies from Wilburn School that are also saddened from hearing this news from a neighbor of Norma Radford's (Mary Paul Sinclair). All of our lives are better having known Margaret. Margaret was one of the finest Christian ladies I have ever known. She was always the same caring sister in Christ. I will always remember Margaret because she was so special to so many people. We are so blessed and grateful to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers to all the family. (Alice Johnson, Peggy Moulthrop, Pat Adams, Elaine Hopkins , Beverly Kappler)

Margaret Ann was indeed a true Southern lady, who possessed great Christian values. I always enjoyed the conversations that we shared as we visited local historic sites and researched individuals within our families. She was truly dedicated to her family, as well as, to her church and community. I will always cherish the memories of her service to the Onslow County Museum Foundation. The Beaty and Brock families remain in my prayers!

Such a wonderful lady! When I was working as a youth leader at the Methodist church, she was one I always went to for advice. She will be very missed in our community. Prayers for the family...

I am so sorry for the loss to your family and to the community, but I am so glad to have known her. I am grateful for the difference she made serving in her church, the Outreach Ministry or other places in the community, helping make the world around her a bit better. Susan Thomas

I came to know Mrs. Beatty while volunteering at the Richlands United Methodist Thrift Store. She was a very sweet lady and it was always a pleasure to have a conversation with her. She will be missed tremendously. I have comfort in knowing that even though she is absent from her earthly body, she is present with her Lord. My condolences and prayers are with Mr. Beatty, the family and her friends.

Margaret Ann was a wonderful and faithful member of the Richlands United Methodist Church choir the entire time I was Music Director. She was always friendly and cheerful and seldom missed a choir practice, a Sunday service or a special holiday musical presentation. She was also a personal friend who will be greatly missed.

Margaret Ann was an angel on earth. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior and her church! Margaret Ann was so very proud of her family and their accomplishments! She and Carrol were a shining example of a dedicated and loving marriage! I so enjoyed the years we spent singing in the choir together. There will be a painful empty chair. Your kind heart and caring spirit will live on in my precious memories. I will so miss your friendship. I am grateful that you are resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. I am thankful that God put you in my life. I will cherish your kindness, fairness, true empathy and love for others. Keep watch over us!

I will always remember Margaret Ann's last afternoon because I was privy to taking her home from my daughter's hair salon. We chatted about the warm weather and the strawberry pie that I had made for her and Carroll just a few weeks ago. She was always so appreciative of all that others did for them, giving more, and always so humble. She was a Southern lady as her mother was. The town of Richlands has lost one of the truly caring, Christian ladies. She will be missed by all who were part of her life.
