Naisha Marina Gomez, 36, of Jacksonville, NC, left us to join The Lord Jesus after a short yet beautiful life. She departed on Saturday, June 6, 2020.

Naisha was born May 28, 1984 to Yvette "Janet" Santiago and Harry Gomez Sr. at Onslow Memorial Hospital. She was the oldest of four children. Naisha was Daddy's Little Girl from the beginning and a happy and outgoing child. Naisha,

It’s hard for me to speak of you in past tense. The memories we built are forever cherished. The days at your mother’s house and your house up the block are fresh. The time I came to visit and you had to work but you made sure we all had fun and were taken care of. I’m thinking about our talks on the phone, surprise gifts and the little things we would get excited about then call ourselves nerds. I wish that was able to continue. We always sent holiday text and photos to stay in touch and say I remembered you. You easily encouraged and influenced those around you by being you. You were down to earth and spoke your mind. You are missed dearly and leaving us is very painful. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your children’s life, milestones, and family. I wish you had the chance to meet my son. You are in heaven now and with my daughter. I don’t need to tell you how awesome you are, you already know that.

Naisha, I am heartbroken that you are no longer with us, yet I rejoice that I will see you again someday. You leave behind a legacy in which you impacted so many people with your kindness and your ability to unapologetically be yourself. You brought life and joy wherever you went. You had the strength to think for yourself and not fit inside anyone elses idea of who and what they thought you should be or do. You were a go-getter. A hustler. You loved fiercely. You were an awesome mother, a genuine friend, a precious sister. Your beauty within was undeniably the most attractive thing about you plus you had that gorgeous smile, infectious laugh and that glorious crown of curls! Thank you for being a radiant source of positivit. Thank you for your friendship. And thank you for simply being you.

You had such a wonderful smile and glorious light about you! I'll miss the laughter that we shared. Even though your light went out on earth it will shine brighter in Heaven than a night sky full of stars. Love and miss you, you Puerto Rican Princess!

Remembering the day we sat on your couch, searching for a middle name for my son, we decided on Givenchy, Miguel Givenchy to be exact. I said that to say you will always be with me and my family forever, it's extremely hard to know you are gone. Missing our long conversations, Geo and Jun we love you we will always be here for you, I cherish these past 13 years dearly. Holding you all in our hearts and praying God comforts everyone of you.😢💔🙏
