OBITUARY

Naomi Ann Fenstermaker

June 22, 1942March 5, 2018

Naomi Anne Fenstermaker, 75, of Jacksonville, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 with her family by her side.

Naomi is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gary Fenstermaker, of the home. Gary and Naomi were married in 1975 while Gary was serving with the United States Marine Corp. They spent the next 20 plus years at various bases on the East Coast. While based at Camp Lejeune, they purchased a home here and returned after Gary’s retirement in 1996. Naomi was a dedicated wife, always faithful and committed to her husband, never leaving his side if she didn’t have to.

Naomi is also survived by a son, Peter Palazzo; one brother, William Schrack ; one sister, Anna lee Miller; one grandchild, Haley Jimenez and two great grandchildren.

Naomi cherished her time with family most, but also enjoyed fishing, golf, and cross word puzzles in her free time. She was a compassionate, giving soul, as was witnessed by their “adopted” granddaughter, Stephanie Hart, who is left to cherish her memory. She was the type of person that would do anything for anyone, without a thought and will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

No services are scheduled, per the family’s request, but condolences can be offered to the Fenstermaker family by visiting www.johnsonfuneralhomes.com.

Thinking about and praying for all of you. Naomi did so much for us - she had such a huge heart. Sitting here remembering the days I sat in the golf cart with her as she watched Sami play golf with you all - she was always so proud. I will miss her texts to me still - asking for Candy Crush lives and being able to share Sami's golf accomplishments with her. Rest in Peace Naomi - Fairways and Greens up there in Heaven!

So sorry for your loss. Naomi was a great friend and workmate. We worked together for over 7 years. She was always willing to help me when I needed assistance. We enjoyed many a lunch together in the back room. She could put together a great salad!
Naomi was a caring, giving and wonderful friend.
I know she will be greatly missed. All of you, her family, are in my thoughts and prayers.

Audrey
